Adaptation Futures Conference 2016 - Summary

Adaptation Futures Conference 2016, which is considered to be the largest conference on climate change in history, was held in Rotterdam on 10-13 May 2016. The event is organized every two years and enjoys a growing interest.

This year’s edition was organized by the Global Programme of Research on Climate Change Vulnerability, Impacts and Adaptation (PROVIA), the European Commission and the Government of the Netherlands. The conference was attended by 1,600 people from over 100 countries and the guests of honor included, among others, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, Princess Abze Djigma of Burkina Faso and numerous representatives of Governments and the European Institutions.
